InformationNippon Paper Industries Donates Baseball Equipment
to Junior Baseball Players in Disaster-Affected Ishinomaki

Nippon Paper Industries Co., Ltd.

Nippon Paper Industries wishes to extend its heartfelt sympathies to all those affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake.
To support junior baseball players in Ishinomaki who lost their baseball equipment due to the disaster, the Nippon Paper Industries Baseball Team asked baseball groups around the country to provide baseball equipment. As a result, many groups offered support and a large donation of equipment was made. Nippon Paper Industries would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone at the groups who offered their support.
In the hope that junior baseball teams in Ishinomaki can resume their activities as soon as possible, there are plans to present the collected equipment to each team in succession, working through the Ishinomaki Baseball Association.
On May 9, the first shipment of equipment provided through the Nippon Paper Industries Baseball Team was delivered to junior baseball players in the Kadonowaki Elementary School district, which is located near the Ishinomaki Mill. After the equipment was presented in an indoor training field, the junior baseball players and the Baseball Team members conducted exchanges including catch-ball and batting practice.
