Nippon Paper Industries Co., Ltd. (President: Yoshio Haga) has decided to integrate Asahikawa Mill (Address: 505-1 Pulp-cho, Asahikawa-shi, Hokkaido), Yufutsu Mill (Address: 143 Yufutsu, Tomakomai-shi, Hokkaido) and Shiraoi Mill (Address: 181 Aza-Kita-Yoshiwara, Shiraoi-cho, Shiraoi-gun, Hokkaido) as of April 1, 2010. The integrated mill will be called "Hokkaido Mill."

Nippon Paper Industries has been proceeding with the phased integration of the operations of three out of the four mills operated by the Company in the Hokkaido area, namely Asahikawa Mill, Yufutsu Mill and Shiraoi Mill. As part of this initiative, the Company integrated the Administration Department and Raw Materials & Purchasing Department of the three mills in July 2008. With the integration of their Technical Service Departments and Production & Plant Engineering Departments set for April 1, 2010, Nippon Paper Industries will establish a functionally integrated mill under the new name "Hokkaido Mill," aiming to enhance the cooperative structure and centralize mill operation.
