'FRONTYTOUGH Series' with Highest Bulkiness

Nippon Paper Industries Co., Ltd.

Nippon Paper Industries Co., Ltd. (President: Yoshio Haga) releases new mechanical paper products FRONTYTOUGH Series on December 6, 2010.

The new products are mechanical paper products with reduced weight compared to any other conventional products, realized by achieving the highest bulkiness in the Japanese paper industry while maintaining the same thickness and printing reproducibility as that of conventional products. The robust paper thickness and outstanding softness means that publications with many pages are easy to open, while publications with fewer pages appear voluminous. Three products are available with the new series, namely FRONTYTOUGH 70 with 70% brightness, FRONTYTOUGH 75 with 75%, and FRONTYTOUGH 80 with 80%.

FRONTYTOUGH 70 emphasizes opacity and ink adhesion, while being the bulkiest among the products in the series.
FRONTYTOUGH 75 features well-balanced properties set for paper thickness, natural whiteness, opacity, and ink adhesiveness.
FRONTYTOUGH 80 features even higher printing reproducibility enabled by a thin surface coating, in addition to a crisp white color.
With the paper thickness and highly-textured printing finish, the products may be used not only for the pages of comics, books, and magazines but also for special-feature pages to provide an accent.
The FRONTYTOUGH series products will be manufactured by machine No. 8 at Ishinomaki Mill.
