Thermal paper producer, Jujo Thermal Ltd., a joint venture of Nippon Paper Industries Co., Ltd. (President: Takahiko Miyoshi), decided to double its coating capacity to approximately 70,000 tons after the approval of its shareholders. The Company will equip a new coating machine to be ready for operation during the first half of 2006.

With technical assistance from Nippon Paper Industries Co., Ltd., Jujo Thermal Ltd., located in Kauttua in southwestern Finland, is a leading manufacturer of direct thermal papers for self-adhesive laminates for the use of retail and delivery. It is also an important supplier of high quality direct thermal papers for cash receipt, fax, and other special applications.

The direct thermal paper market has been growing at a steady pace and is still expected to grow in the future. Jujo Thermal Ltd. will strengthen its position as a global supplier of direct thermal papers with the increased capacity.
