Exhibited at "Sustainable Weeks" at Sogo Hiroshima store

Nippon Paper Industries Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as"the Company") will participate as a GSHIP participating company in the "Sustainable Weeks" held at Sogo Hiroshima Store from October 4th to 24th.

GSHIP is an abbreviation for platform"GREEN SEA Setouchi Hiroshima Platform", which was established by Hiroshima Prefecture as a public-private partnership organization in June 2050 with the aim of reducing the amount of new marine plastic waste flowing into the Seto Inland Sea to "zero" by 2050.

"Sustainable Weeks", at a special venue on each floor of the main building of the Sogo Hiroshima store, GSHIP participating companies will propose products that are environmentally friendly, and workshops and advanced examples will be introduced to promote understanding of marine litter. This initiative was adopted as a model project for"Reiwa 4 Local Blue Ocean Vision Promotion Project", which the Ministry of the Environment supports cooperation between local governments and companies in order to increase the effectiveness of marine litter collection and generation control.

The Company the event, we will hold a panel exhibition at a special venue on the 6th floor of the main building of Sogo Hiroshima Store about our efforts to recycle paper ice cream cups, paper yogurt cups, and paper cups collected in Hamamatsu City into containerboards.
