    Cellulose nanofiber Image

    Cellulose nanofiber

    In order to open up new possibilities for "wood", which is a renewable resource, we are expanding the scope of application from pulping technology to nanofibrillation technology, and are promoting the production and application development of cellulose nanofibers.

    Cattle Feed

    Utilizing high-purity cellulose derived from wood, we have developed a new domestic feed “Genki Morimori®”, which is an energy source for cattle. With stable quality and supply, we support the improvement of cow productivity (carcass weight, milk performance, breeding performance, etc.) and the maintenance of health, and contribute to environmental conservation and the improvement of food self-sufficiency.

    Cellulose and CMC

    Carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) is a water-soluble polymer made from naturally derived cellulose​, which is produced by treating cellulose with alkali, then introducing a carboxymethyl group (etherification), and then purifying, drying, and grinding.
    Research Laboratory

    We conduct research on plantation technologies to ensure a stable supply of wood, the raw material for paper, on the use of wood resources for applications other than paper, and on papermaking technologies for our core businesses.

    Packaging Research Laboratory

    We are engaged in the research and development of packaging materials and solutions derived from wood biomass.

    Fuji Innovative Materials Research Laboratory

    We are developing cellulose nanofiber materials by highly nanofibrillating wood fibers (pulp) obtained from "wood", a renewable resource.

    Chemical Products Research Laboratory

    We conduct research and development on functional coating resins and synthetic dispersants added to paints, inks, adhesives, and other products, as well as on stevia, glycyrrhizin, and fermentation-derived products that leverage our biotechnology and expertise.

    Functional Materials Development Laboratory

    Optical films manufactured using the latest clean coating technologies are widely used in personal computers, monitors, smartphones, and other devices, and we conduct research and development on these products.
