SHIELDPLUS^®Wins Top Prize in Productive Idea Competition

Nippon Paper Industries Co., Ltd.

NIPPON PAPER GROUP Jujo Thermal Oy., Ltd. won the grand prize in October for" "SHIELDPLUS^®”that adds barrier properties to paper in the Productive Idea Competition sponsored by the Finnish Junior Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The competition began in 1977 and aims to select outstanding products that lead to sustainable economic growth. In 2022, 56 companies from Japan participated, and the grand prize was determined after a preliminary round consisting of four blocks.

As a supplementary prize for the grand prize, theJujo Thermal Oywas displayed on a screen in Times Square, New York.

As the Group European production site, Jujo Thermal Oy. utilizes the coating technology cultivated in the existing thermal business"SHIELDPLUS^®”. We are working on development and marketing. In October 2020, we installed mass production facilities and are expanding to the global market, mainly in the European market.
