We have developed pulp molds andPaperair packing that combine strength and cushioning. It took about two years to develop by devising the structure and depth of the bottom of the pulp mold, and repeatedly testing transportation and packaging. The bottom of the divider tray is decorated in the shape of a cute “Pigeon” to improve its beauty.

From the perspective of SDGs and contribution to the global environment, Toshimaya, which was considering reducing single-use plastics, requested “I want to paperize the large plate trays and air packing used in pigeon sablé can boxes and paper boxes.” , and began development by addingpaperizationthe outer pillow packaging. It has beenRecruitmentin the new packaging of pigeon sablés since October 2021, and Toshimaya expects to reduce the amount of single-use plastic used by 100tonneper year through this initiative.
