[Outline of Industry-Academia Collaboration]

In the Anzai Toru Seminar, we practice"Learning outside the classroom”and actively cooperate with various companies and regions. The seminar sympathized with environmentally friendly manufacturing and contactedNippon Paper Papylia Co., Ltd., and the company, which expects the sensibilities of Generation Z female college students, decided to work on product development through industry-academia collaboration.

Starting with learning about the marketing framework at the kick-off meeting in May 2022, after a mid-term consultation meeting in June and a planning presentation in July, the policy of"Amulet cosmetics”was established in September, and after discussions with the company from October, the card design to accompany the packaging and products was decided. I have been working on developing marketing plans for new products.

◆Thoughts put into the product

Focusing on the joy of finally increasing the opportunities for"Face-to-face" and "handshake", I thought of a hand cream that would be"As a talisman for new encounters”.

Like a talisman, this hand cream is a hand cream that you should always have by your side on important occasions. This product was designed as"Mayu Item"when shaking hands with superiors or business partners, exchanging business cards, or holding hands with someone you like.

The eco-friendly materials, smooth feel, and scent of yuzu create a sense of security, and it is expected that the moment you think about the other person instead of just taking care of yourself will evoke a sense of happiness and become a talisman for new encounters.

◆Significance of product development

This project will be the first full-scale product development of industry-academia collaboration between Seisen Women's University andNippon Paper Papylia Co., Ltd.. For students, they can acquire problem-solving, planning,Planskills, and above all, it is an extremely valuable experience to be involved in the planning, development, and sales of real products that will be released into the world. The company also expects product development and marketing (such as dissemination on social media) that incorporates the sensibilities of young female college students, who are said to be Generation Z.
