TOKAN KOGYO CO., LTD.. (Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo,President and Representative Director: Toshiya Kasai) and Nippon Paper Industries Co., Ltd. (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo,President and Representative Director: Toru Nozawa) will jointly cooperate in the separate collection and recycling of paper cups in the"Environmental Plaza Hokkaido 2023”food zone.

"Environmental Plaza Hokkaido 2023”is an event held in Sapporo City to commemorate"G7 Sapporo Climate, Energy and Environment Ministers' Meeting", with the aim of promoting environmental business while having fun with many residents and citizens.

 

◆Tocan Kogyo will providePapercups at the drink bar in the food zone in the venue.

◆Visitors who have enjoyed their meal will use the cup washing machine "Re-CUP WASHER®" developed by Tocan Kogyo, which installsPapercups in the food zone, and then separate them into a special collection box.

◆Nippon Paper Industries recycles the collected paper cups intocontainerboardsat the Sokamill.

This business cooperation is part of an awareness-raising activity to deepen consumers' correct understanding of usedpaper cartonsrecycling.
By experiencing the cleaning of paper cups, consumers will feel that they have participated in a new recycling activity, and we aim to spread andEmployee Retentionusedpaper cartonsrecycling in society.
