Notice Concerning the Conclusion of a Sustainability-Linked Loan Agreement

Nippon Paper Industries Co.,Ltd. has entered into a Sustainability-Linked Loan ("SLL”) with Meiji Yasuda Life Insurance Company and Nippon Life Insurance Company.

SLL aims to motivate the achievement of SPTs by setting sustainability performance targets (hereinafter referred to as“SPTs”) related to borrowers' sustainability goals and linking loan terms to the performance of SPTs, as well as promoting sustainable economic activity and growth from environmental and social perspectives. the Companyhave formulated SPTs based on the 2030VISION that we should aim for as a group. This financing is based on the ESG financing framework of Meiji Yasuda Life Insurance Company "MY Sustainable Finance" (Note 1) and Nippon Life Insurance Company "Nissay Sustainability Linked Loan" (Note 2).
