Shutdown of production facilities

Nippon Paper Industries Co.,Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, President & CEO: Toru Nozawa) has decided to suspend the operation of the No. 1 paper machine that produces single-gloss paper at the Otake Plant.
The paper machine was temporarily suspended due to equipment failure in 2021, but it has continued production after repairs and inspections. However, due to the expected further decline in demand for single-gloss paper and the difficulty of securing reproducible profits, we have decided to suspend the operation by the end of June 2026.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to our customers and everyone involved, but we will continue to provide information on alternatives, including production at the No. 2 and No. 3 paper machines at the same plant, so we ask for your understanding.
