The seedlings presented were collected at Nippon Paper Industries scion plantation, and trees were planted in the school forest (training forest) as a kick-off event to commemorate the conclusion. In the future, through the“The Future of Forests Opened Up by Elite Trees” project, we hope that it will be a place for learning not only through classroom lectures but also through practice, such as comparisons between elite trees and ordinary trees.
“Mimizu Taro 100” is an organic material produced from compost naturally fermented by adding cow dung and rice bran to the waste fungus bed of shiitake mushrooms as food for earthworms, and is a fertilizer that contributes to the activation of soil micro organisms, the promotion of rooting, soil improvement, and the reduction of chemical fertilizers. It will be used in practical training in the Department of Agriculture to verify its effectiveness for various crops in the agricultural field.
