Nippon Seitai Corporation Acquired Plastic Bag Manufacturing Equipment for Sugar and Started Manufacturing and Sales Business of Plastic Bags for Sugar

Nippon Paper Industries Co., Ltd. (President and Representative Director CEO: Akira Sebe,head office : Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, hereinafter referred to as“Nippon Paper Industries"), a 100% subsidiary President and Representative Director of Nippon Seitai Corporation (President: Noboru Morita,head office : Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, hereinafter referred to as“Nippon Seitai”), has agreed with Nitto Sangyo Co., Ltd.(Business: Manufacture and sales of paper bags and synthetic resin products for sugar, hereinafter referred to as ”Nitto Sangyo"). In line with this, Nippon Seitai will set up the manufacturing facility at its Kyushu mill and start manufacturing and selling new plastic bags for sugar.
Nippon Seitai is a packaging materials manufacturer founded in 1923, and its business is mainly engaged in the manufacture and sale of packaging bags such as kraft paper bags and plastic bags. Leveraging its strengths in bag-making technology and quality control cultivated over many years, Nitto Sangyo has decided to acquire plastic bag manufacturing equipment for sugar from Nitto Sangyo and enter the manufacturing and sales business of plastic bags for sugar to expand its business scope and grow its business.
