Our company's heat-sealable paper, "Lamina (biodegradable type)," has been adopted as packaging material for amenity products sold by Tokyo Matsushima Co., Ltd. (Head office: Fuchu City, Tokyo; President and CEO: Tsutomu Otsuki; hereinafter referred to as "Tokyo Matsushima").Toothbrush products using this packaging material have been decided to be available in hotel chains as certified products by the Amenity Recycling Association (hereinafter referred to as“Amenity Recycling Association”).

Tokyo Matsushima, under the banner of "Matsushima Quality," aims to provide high-quality amenities to its accommodations while also contributing to a sustainable society.The productsRecruitmentthis time were developed in accordance with vision“Toward zero-waste hospitality”promoted by the Amenity Recycling Association of which the company is a member. The Amenity Recycling Association aims to switch to 100% sustainable materials for amenity products and zero new fossil-derived plastics by 2030, andthe Company“lamina ® (biodegradable type”was focused on as one of the materials to achieve this goal.
In addition, the toothbrush itself is made of sustainable products manufactured by Asahi Sangyo Co., Ltd., which contain 51% recycled raw materials, and isenvironmentally friendlyin both the packaging and the product.

 

■“Lamina ® (Biodegradable Type”

1) Green Planet®, which is mainly used in the heat seal coating layer of this developed product, is a 100% biomass-derived biodegradable biopolymer developed by Kaneka Co., Ltd., which has excellent biodegradability in a wide range of environments.biomass
