Nippon Paper Industries Co., Ltd. (President: Fumio Manoshiro; hereinafter "Nippon Paper Industries") concluded a license agreement with Elopak AS (Headquarters: Oslo, Norway; CEO: Niels Petter Wright; hereinafter "Elopak") in last March and introduced a line-up of chilled liquid packaging cartons globally marketed by the Norwegian company. KIRIN Tropicana Inc. (President: Ryo Tsutsumi) adopted the Pure-Pak^® Curve for the fruit drink "Tropicana REAL FRUIT EXPERIENCE" (5 types) 900 ml and started nationwide sales of these products (excluding Okinawa Prefecture).

Pure-Pak^® Curve is a chilled liquid packaging carton with one of the four corners elegantly curved. This curved corner panel can be used as a communication tool for product features, brand differentiation and on-pack-promotions. In addition, it also makes drinks easier to pour and reseal by attaching a closure to the carton.
