Setting up the new department, Paperising Promotion Office
Expansion of the “paper” usage, it will contribute to achieve a circular economy

Nippon Paper Industries Co., Ltd. (President: Fumio Manoshiro) has announced to set up "Paperising Promotion Office" within Sales Management & Planning Division, effective August 1, 2018.

In recent years, the demand for reusable products and biodegradable materials has been increasing around the world, as marine pollution caused by disposable plastic products has been highlighted. "Paper" is expected to fulfill these needs because it is recyclable and made from wood, known as a renewable resource.
Nippon Paper Group (hereinafter, "the Group") has provided products in a wide variety of industrial fields, including the food and beverage industry. Milk cartons, paper cups and food wrapping papers are some examples. The group continues to drive the development of new products under the slogan of "let paper do what it can do" in order to "paperise" whatever products that paper could substitute for. One of the recent achievements was the launch of SHIELDPLUS® in November 2017, a new paper packaging material with barrier properties.
"Paperising Promotion Office" will correspond flexibly to needs for paper usage, which are expected to increase even further in the future, by using the most of the technologies and knowledge on "paper" accumulated by the Group.
"Paperising Promotion Office" aims to create and develop new sales opportunities that will lead to the Group's growth. It also proposes optimal solutions in a prompt manner as the Group's point of contact for all requests related to paper, which is expected to contribute to achieve a circular economy.
