Functional films for displays

We are working on the development of functional hard-coated films for liquid crystal displays and OLED displays installed in smartphones and tablet PCs. In order to meet the diverse needs of our customers, we are conducting research and development to give optical films a high-value-added functional layer by making full use of precision coating technology, advanced analytical equipment, and coating design technology based on many years of knowledge.

Granting high hardness function

It provides solid protection for the display surface, effectively preventing scratches ranging from microscopic to deep, caused by contact with metal and other factors. Its excellent hardness and durability also contribute to improving the film's handleability and reducing the risk of damage during processing, thereby increasing manufacturability in the customer's manufacturing process.

  • By reciprocating steel wool with a constant load on the surface of the specimen, the susceptibility to scratches and durability of the surface are evaluated.

Granting surface properties

The coating layer surface is endowed with special surface properties such as super water repellency and super hydrophilicity, which improves stain resistance and visibility, and improves the adhesion and processability of components in the customer's manufacturing process, thereby contributing to improving production efficiency.

Granting durability

In order to enhance the long-term reliability and durability of displays, we are also studying and developing high-value-added performance such as heat resistance to maintain performance in high-temperature environments, moisture resistance to ensure stability in wet environments, and UV protection to prevent deterioration caused by ultraviolet rays and extend the life of the display.
