MinerPa ™ (composites of pulps and minerals)
MinerPa™ is a material developed by applying the production method of calcium carbonate employed in paper manufacturing. This unique powder-supporting technology can provide various functions to the paper, deodorant, antibacterial effects, flame retardant properties, and X-ray shielding performance. In addition, it has diverse formability of paper materials, enabling optimization for each customer's demands.
What is MinerPa™?
MinerPa™ is a material composed of pulp fibers, a raw material of paper, and minerals, with various functions. The surface of the pulp fiber is covered with mineral particles by adopting our unique technology, and the material has four features: "Earth-friendly," "Human-friendly," "the ability to provide various functions," and "Diverse formability."
Earth-friendly

By using sustainable wood materials, MinerPa™ contributes to a carbon-neutral society. We value the cycle of logging, using, planting, and forest management, and aim for sustainable resource recycling by developing a recycling system.
Human-friendly
As a safe and secure material that is human-friendly, we use cellulose fibers from wood, which is naturally derived. By using human-safe materials and avoiding organic agents, we aim to create products that can be used more healthily.
Functionality
It can be provided with a variety of functions derived from the properties of minerals and can be customized with characteristics tailored to the purpose, such as deodorizing and antibacterial properties by using hydrotalcite, flame retardancy by using magnesium carbonate, and X-ray shielding by using barium sulfate. We can also consider adopting other inorganic materials and adding new functions.
Diverse formability
It has excellent formability and can be provided in various forms. It can be provided in versatile forms, such as sheets (paper), non-woven fabrics, pulp molds, flakes, and wet pulps, and can be formed into certain forms according to each application.
Mixing with other materials
It can be used with other materials. Also, suitable for uses in non-woven fabrics, as a raw material or an additive, it is expected to find applications in a wide range of fields, including sanitary materials.
Installation of the demonstration plant
We have established a demonstration plant at the Fuji Mill in Fuji City, Shizuoka, and have an annual production capacity of 450t (as wet pulp). In addition to developing mass manufacturing technology, we are also producing samples to meet customer requirements.
