In response to the recent spread of environmentally friendly products and the trend of eliminating plastics, the need for sustainable packaging materials has increased significantly. On the other hand, paper, although a sustainable material, is sensitive to water and is only used in limited environments such as indoors. Therefore, by applying the paper manufacturing technology and coating technology cultivated over the years as a paper company, we have realized imparting not only "Water resistance" to containerboards, but also "Moisture resistance" and "Oil resistance" functions. By proposing designs that take advantage of these three functions, the Packaging Research Laboratory is proposing new packaging that meets the needs of various customers, including those used in environments where paper has been difficult to use and affected by water, and for marine products and disaster prevention applications.
