NP Trading Co., Ltd. and Mantsune Corporation Conclude Merger Agreement

Nippon Paper Industries Co., Ltd.

NP Trading Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, President: Toshio Yamamoto), a consolidated subsidiary of Nippon Paper Industries Co., Ltd. (President: Masatomo Nakamura), and Mantsune Corporation (President: Takeshi Fujita), an agent of Nippon Paper Industries, have concluded a merger agreement following respective resolutions today by the companies' boards of directors, in accordance with the basic agreement concluded by both companies on March 30 of this year. A summary of the agreement follows.
 
Following approval of this merger agreement at the companies' general shareholders meetings (NP Trading: scheduled for August 24, Mantsune: scheduled for August 27), the new company will be inaugurated on October 1 of this year.
 
Summary of the Merger Agreement
1. Company name after merger : NP Trading Co., Ltd.
*NP Trading will be the surviving company after the merger, while Mantsune will be dissolved.
 
2. Head Office : 2-2-1 Uchikanda, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo (current location of NP Trading's head office)
