Nippon Paper Industries Co., Ltd. (President: Fumio Manoshiro; hereinafter "the Company") announces that Nippon Paper Group will participate in TOKYO PACK 2016, one of Asia's largest general exhibitions for packaging, which will be held on October 4 until 7 at Tokyo Big Sight.

Nippon Paper Group will participate in the exhibition with the theme of ""Kaminnovation!*" Do some good by using paper". Nippon Paper Group's booth will showcase a variety of new packaging products that are innovative and a little different from conventional products, including gable-top liquid packaging cartons featuring a sophisticated design and functionality, introduced for the first time in the Japanese market.

1. Pure-Pak® Curve, Pure-Pak® Sense
Visitors will be introduced to the gable-top liquid packaging cartons featuring a sophisticated Northern European design and new functionality. The package will be introduced for the first time in the Japanese market.

2. SHIELD PLUS®
SHIELD PLUS® is a new eco-friendly packaging material made of paper, which is a renewable and recyclable material, and it is shielded from oxygen and flavor barrier developed from the company's applied technologies that have accumulated over its years as a paper company. Visitors will experience its barrier functions as well as its distinctive paper texture that cannot be felt on film-coated packages.
