Nippon Paper Industries Co., Ltd. (President: Fumio Manoshiro), ITO EN, LTD. (President: Daisuke Honjo; Headquarter: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo), and TOPPAN PRINTING CO., LTD. (President: Shingo Kaneko; Headquarter: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) jointly received the Chairperson's Award, Eco-Products Awards Steering Committee under the Eco-Products Category at the 11th Eco-Products Awards. This award was bestowed in recognition of the brick-shaped aluminum free paper carton (Non- Aluminum FUJI-PAK).

The Eco-Products Awards has given out awards since 2004 in an effort to support the initiatives taken by organizations who supply eco-products, to promote their development and spread, and to widely communicate information about eco-products to consumers and businesses. The Eco-Products Awards is divided into the Eco-Products Category and the Eco-Services Category. The Chairperson's Award, Eco-Products Awards Steering Committee is the second greatest award after the Minister's Prize.

The brick-shaped aluminum free paper carton (Non-Aluminum FUJI-PAK) produces a barrier comparable to that of aluminum foil. TOPPAN PRINTING's transparent high barrier film, GL Film, was chosen because it is highly recyclable. The carton allows for long-term preservation and distribution at room temperature. It can be recycled just like roof-shaped paper carton, thereby helping to cut down on CO2 emissions.
