Nippon Paper Industries Co., Ltd. (President: Fumio Manoshiro; hereinafter, "the Company") has announced price revisions for core paperboard as follows.

| 4. Reason for implementation |
The Company carried out price revisions for core paperboard last July. However, the price of old corrugated carton, which is the principal raw material, is at high level as an international market product. In addition, the price of fuel, chip, chemicals for papermaking and logistic costs keep rising. The Company have been promoting thorough cost reductions, but we have been facing a difficult condition to secure reproducible profit through our independent efforts. Therefore, the Company decided the revision of the product prices. |
