Nippon Paper Industries Co., Ltd. (President: Toru Nozawa) won a special prize for Excellence Award in biodiversity reporting in the Environmental Report category of the 24th Environmental Communication Awards, co-organized by Japan's Ministry of the Environment and by the Global Environmental Forum, for its 「Sustainability Report 2020」and 「Sustainability Report 2020」.

The Environmental Communication Awards aim to encourage efforts supporting environmental management and environmental communication, as well as enhance the quality of environmental information disclosure by honoring excellent environmental reports and other activities.

Under the slogan of a comprehensive biomass company shaping the future with trees, the Nippon Paper Group has established its Environmental Charter for conducting corporate activities that give consideration to the environment. In accordance with the philosophy of this charter, we carry out corporate activities matched with growing environmental awareness.
